On the Always College Football podcast, Greg McElroy and Chris “The Bear” Fallica provided their take on the upcoming B1G matchup between Ohio State and Penn State.

Ahead of the week 9 slated games, McElroy and The Bear discussed this game and why it will probably be a blowout of a game.

Ohio State is undefeated at 7-0, coming off a dominant win over Iowa last week, 54-10. While Penn State is coming off a win against Minnesota, 45-17, and the previous week defeated by Michigan in a blowout loss, 41-17.

The Bear mentioned that Penn State will have a real test this week with Ohio State unlike last week’s performance with Minnesota who had backups playing.

“What Penn State did last week, rallying after getting the doors blown off against Michigan in the previous week. This is not Minnesota who is starting the backup quarterback and it’s not Minnesota’s defense. I think this game has blowout written all over it.”

McElroy doesn’t think Penn State has the power to withstand the Buckeyes’ defense and more so win against a top-10 squad.

“Look at James Franklin, I know they’ve been awful against Top-10 teams since, gosh even beyond James Franklin. I think they’re 1-19 against Top-10 teams in the last two decades.”

But we will see how this game fares and if McElroy and Bear prove themselves right in this B1G matchup.

Penn State hosts Ohio State at noon ET and will be televised on Fox.
