Halloween is almost here and Big Ten Network wanted to have some fun with its coaches to hear their least favorite candy.
In a video posted to Big Ten Network’s social accounts on Thursday afternoon, coaches provided their opinions on the worst Halloween candy.
What is the 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙨𝙩 Halloween Candy? 🎃🍬
We asked our @B1GFootball coaches, and some have thoughts on candy corn. 😂😬 pic.twitter.com/UmayI5wndb

The first candy mentioned was “Bit-O-Honey” by P.J. Fleck, Minnesota’s coach. Saying that “[Bit-O-Honey] especially the stale ones that have been there two years prior that someone just throws in the bag.” What a specific answer from Fleck. Maybe, that’s the only candy he got when he trick or treated back in the day, who knows.
Tom Allen, Indiana’s coach, said Almond Joy is the worst Halloween candy to him. No other words muttered. Purdue’s coach Jeff Brohm’s least favorite Halloween candy he said was Skittles. Not often is that candy mentioned on a least favorite list. Ryan Day, Ohio State’s coach saying “Whoppers” was his least favorite candy.
But what stole the show was the hatred some coaches had for candy corn.
“Orange little triangle, candy corn. Yeah, candy corn. I’m not a fan of the candy corn, whatsoever,” James Franklin, Penn State’s coach said.”
He’s not the only one that’s not a fan of it. Michigan State coach Mel Tucker, Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald and Maryland coach Michael Locksley all hate candy corn, too.
Do you have similar taste to these B1G coaches? Or do you have a completely different candy that wasn’t mentioned that deserves to be in the trash can?
