One B1G program has beaten Ohio State more than any other since 2005

There are a lot of reasons the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes shouldn’t overlook the No. 13 Penn State Nittany Lions, the primary one being that they have the most wins against the Buckeyes since 2005, in short, Penn State has the Buckeyes number.

The Buckeyes haven’t lost much over the past 17 years, but when they have, 3 B1G teams seem to have their number: Penn State with four wins,  Michigan State with 3 wins, and Purdue with 3 wins.

The last time Penn State defeated the Buckeyes was in 2016 when an unranked Nittany Lions team won, 24-21. Most of the matchups over the years between the 2 squads have been close including last year’s game with Ohio State pulling the game out in the second half, 33-24.

If history tells us anything is that this won’t be a cakewalk as some may think, Although the Buckeyes are 7-1 against the Nittany Lions, don’t believe for one second they are being overlooked.

It will be a hard-fought contest that may come down to the final seconds of the ballgame, which wouldn’t be a shocker to fans of either school.
