Will Penn State be at full strength in its backfield Saturday against No. 2 Ohio State?

According to Reading Eagle’s Rich Scarcella, third-year running back Keyvone Lee is warming up on the sidelines in preparation for Saturday’s game against the Buckeyes.

Lee missed last weekend’s 45-17 win over Minnesota with an injury.

Lee, who finished last season as the Nittany’s Lions leading rusher, has been part of a 3 man rotation that sees action for James Franklin’s offense. This season, the Florida native has totaled 94 yards off 25 carries and is averaging 3.7 yards per play.

Lee’s best game of the season came against Northwestern when he registered 10 carries for 40 yards. So far, he’s primarily been used as the No. 3 running behind freshmen Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen.

The Buckeyes enter Saturday with a Heisman-caliber quarterback in C.J. Stroud, but also an improving defense under the direction of 1st-year coordinator Jim Knowles. Through 7 games, Ohio State ranks top 10 nationally in scoring (14.9 points per game), pass defense (149 yards per game), run defense (90.9 yards per game), and total yards allowed (239.9 yards per game).

Kickoff from Beaver Stadium is set for noon ET on FOX.
