Tanner Morgan will be reportedly making his return in the Week 9 matchup with Rutgers.

Morgan suffered a concussion in the 4th quarter of the Week 7 matchup with Illinois. Morgan would go on to miss the Week 8 game against Penn State, breaking his streak of 45 consecutive starts at QB.

It seems that Morgan is set to return in Week 9, according to Andy Greder of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

Morgan is 2nd all-time in passing TDs and passing yards for the Golden Gophers. Morgan also holds the records for most passing yards in a single season (2019) and passing TDs in a season (also 2019).

With Morgan out, the Golden Gophers turned to true-freshman Athan Kaliakmanis against Penn State in Week 8. The Golden Gophers would lose the game 45-17.
