Michigan offense draws critical reaction for first half red-zone performance vs. MSU
By Paul Harvey
Published:
Michigan’s offense held the ball for the majority of the first half and put together some long, sustained drives against Michigan State. Unfortunately, that makes the 13 first-half points all the more disappointing for the Wolverines.
At the break, Michigan has held the ball for more than 17 minutes and has drives of 80 yards and 86 yards. However, the Wolverines kicked a pair of field goals after setting up goal-to-go scenarios before the break.
Instead of a double-digit lead or being up by two possessions at the break, Michigan is instead clinging to a 6-point lead at halftime. While things could change early in the second half, the red-zone performance of the offense has been worrisome and drew plenty of criticism on social media.

Michigan had two weeks to figure out a red zone offense and it’s still awful.
This will be a problem for the remainder of the season. #GoBlue
