Blake Corum and Michigan had the last laugh on Saturday, taking down Michigan State 29-7 for the rivalry win. After the game, Corum took some shots at a popular slogan heard out of East Lansing during the offseason.

“I thought Tuck was coming,” said Corum. “That’s what they said this offseason, right? All them shirts. They said Tuck was coming, I just saw them running.”

At the end of the day, Corum was by far the most important offensive piece in the game on both sides of the ball. He carried the ball 33 times for 177 yards and 2 total touchdowns while averaging 5.4 yards per carry against the Spartans.

While Michigan did roll to the big one, 2 touchdowns compared to 5 field goals is something to be concerned about for the Wolverines. Corum said the team needs to — and will — figure out the red-zone issues. He also said the rivalry game should have been a blowout.

We’ll see if Tucker and the Spartans have anything to say when 2023 rolls around.
