Michigan fans won’t be getting a discount on their steaks at a local Ann Arbor restaurant this year.
Last fall, Ruth’s Chris steakhouse ran a “Score Big” promotion, which allowed fans to earn a discount on their dinner based on the margin of victory Michigan had every week in 2016. The discount went as high as 50 percent, so fans weren’t able to cash in on that 78-0 win over Rutgers.
It seems that promotion was a one-year thing, however, as the steakhouse won’t be offering the same discounts for the 2017 season, according to MLive.com.
Fans got to enjoy a discounted steak 10 times last year, as the Wolverines finished the year 10-3. They also enjoyed a pretty hefty price cut, as Michigan had an average margin of victory of 37.3 points per game. Even Jim Harbaugh took advantage of the promotion occasionally.
Unfortunately for fans of the maize and blue, you’ll be paying full price for meals this year, regardless of how big Michigan wins.
