Chase Brown continues to lead the nation in rushing. The star RB for Illinois now has 1,208 rushing yards after collecting 149 more against Nebraska in Week 9.

In addition to his total yardage, Brown has 36 runs of 10+ yards, the most in the nation for a Power 5 player. Brown also leads the Power 5 in yards after contact with 707 such yards.

Brown has gained at least 100 rushing yards in every game this season, which has the RB on a record-breaking pace.

With his current pace, Brown is projected to finish 2022 with over 2,000 yards. This mark would easily pass Mikel Leshoure’s 1,697 for most rushing yards in a single season in Illini history.

After dispatching with Nebraska, Brown and Illinois get a favorable matchup against Michigan State in Week 10. We’ll see how Brown looks with his shot at history moving forward.
