According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Washington is a 4-star prospect out of Chaminade Julienne High School in Dayton, Ohio. The composite rankings have Washington as the No. 9 SG and No. 76 overall prospect nationally as well as the No. 2 player out of Ohio for the 2023 cycle.
Washington previously committed to Ohio State last November. He maintained that pledge all the way up until September of 2022 before reopening his commitment.
Washington joins 4-star big man Papa Kante as the first two commitments for Michigan’s 2023 recruiting class. We’ll see how Howard and his staff round out the cycle but that is a solid start for the Wolverines.
