Nebraska DC Bill Busch highlights challenges presented by Minnesota QB Tanner Morgan

Nebraska’s defensive coordinator Bill Busch has some very high praise for the Minnesota Gophers offense led by quarterback Tanner Morgan whom he describes as “tough.”
“The thing that stands out the most probably is how tough he is; I’ve seen him take some shots and in his sixth year of football, that’s hard,” Busch said via the Lincoln Journal Star. “He’s very, very mature and nothing rattles him. He understands how his offensive line operates and how good his running back is, so that helps him.”
“They’re always in the right play, and you just don’t see him be like, ‘Oh, man we screwed that one up,’” Busch said. “He doesn’t screw it up, so we have to be able to outplay him; you’re not going to out-scheme him or trick him.”
Morgan has thrown for over 1,200 yards and 7 touchdowns so far in the 2022 season. Morgan’s best game was against Michigan State where he threw for 268 and 3 touchdown passes.
The Huskers hope he won’t catch fire against them as he did against the Spartans.
