Brian Allen, former Michigan State Spartan, has been cleared to play per L.A. Ram’s coach Sean McVay. Allen was just signed to a three-year extension worth $24 million in May.

Allen played for the Spartans and earned second team All-Big Ten for three straight years while playing both guard spots along with center. He would be picked up by the Rams in the 4th round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Following the departure of veteran John Sullivan, Allen was named the starter in 2019 for the Rams.

He would start nine games before an MCL injury sidelined him for most of the remaining season. He would miss the entire 2020 season while battling more knee issues and COVID-19. In 2021, Allen played a large portion of the year but had to deal with yet another knee injury.

2022 started with swelling and precautionary measures causing Allen to miss some time. His addition back into their line up will immediately help with communication and coordination.
