Casey Thompson was not seen warming up for the B1G clash between Nebraska and Minnesota.

If Thompson is unable to go, this would be his first missed game of the season. In Thompson’s place, it is expected to be Chubba Purdy getting the start. Logan Smothers, Heinrich Haarberg, and Matt Masker were also seen getting reps in at QB before the game.

Lincoln Journal Star’s Luke Mullin posted about Thompson’s absence.

Purdy has seen the field in 4 games this season in relief. The QB is 10-of-20 with 0 TDs and 2 INTs in limited action.

Thompson has 2,023 passing yards with 12 TDs and 10 INTs in 2022.

The Huskers are in the midst of a disappointing season that saw HC Scott Frost be fired after Week 3. The Huskers are 3-5 on the season, 2-3 in B1G play.

Nebraska-Minnesota starts at noon ET and will be shown on ESPN2.
