The Thorne pass was intended for former Illini tight end Daniel Barker, who transferred to Michigan State for the 2022 season.
The Illini sport the 2nd-best passing defense in the nation, allowing only 148.9 passing yards per game. Coming into Week 10, the Illini lead the nation in forced INTs with 15.
The Illini are seeking to improve to 8-1 with a win over Michigan State in Week 10.
