Jim Harbaugh and Michigan found themselves in an unexpected situation on the road against Rutgers. Heading into halftime of the Week 10 game, the Wolverines trailed by a field goal at 17-14.
In the first half, the Wolverines were plagued by multiple miscues with a pair of missed field goals and a blocked punt returned for a touchdown. Fortunately, Michigan responded.
In his postgame interview from the field, Harbaugh admitted guys in the locker room “adjusted their chin straps” for the second half.
“Guys, the players, they adjusted their chin straps a little tighter,” said Harbaugh.
Harbaugh also took the chance to put the spotlight on Michael Barrett. Barrett had a pair of interceptions in Michigan’s big 3rd quarter, including a pick-6 vs. the Scarlet Knights.
“Talk to this guy right here, 2 big interceptions and a pick-6, those are the best kind,” Harbaugh said. “Great job, Mike, proud of you.”
“The players, they adjusted their chin straps a little tighter.”

When it was all said and done, Michigan rallied for 38 unanswered points in the second half for the big win. Now, the Wolverines will wait to see where they slot on the updated College Football Playoff Rankings after a wild Week 10.
