Big Ten names Players of the Week following Week 2 action

Several Big Ten teams pulled off big wins in Week 2, making it a tough competition for the conference’s Player of the Week awards.
However, on Monday, the awards for offense, defense, special teams and freshman of the week were announced.
On offense, the award was split between Iowa QB Nate Stanley and Wisconsin RB Jonathan Taylor:

Defensively, Michigan DB Tyree Kinnel earned Player of the Week honors:

The award for the week’s best special teams player went to Indiana WR J-Shun Harris II:

And, finally, the Big Ten’s Freshman of the Week award went to the aforementioned Taylor, who ran for 223 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Florida Atlantic:

With several more important games scheduled for this weekend, it will be interesting to see who takes home the Week 3 honors next Monday.
