T.J. Hockenson is wasting no time in making an impact on his new team.

Before the NFL Trade Deadline, Hockenson was traded from the Detroit Lions to the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings’ Week 9 matchup with the Washington Commanders is Hockenson’s 1st game for his new team.

The former Hawkeye TE snagged a catch over the middle of the field for a 19-yard gain early in the 1st quarter.

Hockenson had a productive 2-year career for the Hawkeyes, winning the John Mackey Award in 2018. Hockenson was only the 2nd Hawkeye to win that award, with Dallas Clark being the 1st.

Hockenson was productive as a member of the Detroit Lions, earning a Pro Bowl nod in 2020. The TE is seeking to fill a void in the Minnesota Viking’s offense.
