Ryan Walters will have the tough task of slowing down Purdue’s Charlie Jones in Week 11. He talked about what makes him so special at Monday’s presser.
Jones was more of a returner at Iowa than anything else. Walters stated that Purdue is simply using Jones the way that teams should with his talents.
Walters also said that fans should see Devon Witherspoon guarding him.
“They’re using him,” said Walters. “I’m sure you’ll see 31 [Devon Witherspoon] on him.”

Speaking more on Witherspoon, Walters highlighted how special the Illinois DB is. Walters knows that there aren’t too many players like Witherspoon out there which is why he sees him getting drafted fairly high in the NFL.
“There aren’t too many Spoons out there, which is why if I were a betting man, he’s going to get drafted pretty high,” said Walters.
