Rutgers offensive coordinator is back to work and is doing fine after being hospitalized for a seizure on Sunday, head coach Chris Ash told the media on Tuesday.
Kill was knocked down during the Scarlet Knights’ Week 2 game against Eastern Michigan and felt “discombobulated” and was experiencing headaches the rest of the day. He suffered a minor seizure on was hospitalized on Sunday. But Ash confirmed the offensive coordinator is doing well and is already back to work.
“Jerry is fine, he’s back to work, he was in our offices yesterday working,” said Ash, according to NJ.com. “As usual, he’ll coach this week, coach the game, and moving forward no concerns at all. It was a minor setback. So we’re excited that Jerry is fine and back in the office, back with our football team.”
Kill was forced to resign as Minnesota’s head coach midway through the 2015 season due to epilepsy. Since then, he’s developed a routine that has helped control his symptoms and has been approved to return to coaching.
Rutgers is scheduled to play Morgan State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
