A day after Indiana and Florida International cancelled this Saturday’s game due to the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, the Hoosiers were able to add an FCS opponent to the 2017 schedule.

On Tuesday, Zach Osterman of the Indianapolis Star reported that Indiana came to an agreement with Charleston Southern and the two teams will play on Oct. 7. That week was previously scheduled to be the bye week for the Hoosiers.

With the cancellation of the game with Florida International, Indiana needed to add another game to reach 12 games on the year. The Hoosiers are also back up to six home games for the season.

Osterman also tweeted out ticket exchange information for the Oct. 7 meeting. All FIU tickets can be exchanged for tickets to the Charleston Southern matchup.

This weekend will serve as Indiana’s bye week, giving the Hoosiers an extra week to prepare for Georgia Southern on Sept. 23.

Indiana is coming off a 34-17 win over Virginia in Week 2.
