The Week 11 version of the CFP Playoff Rankings is here.

Georgia gets the top spot, Ohio State is No. 2, Michigan is No. 3, and TCU moves up to No. 4. committee chairman Boo Corrigan explained the rationale behind keeping Ohio State ahead of Michigan, noting that Ohio State defeated Notre Dame.

Corrigan acknowledged that both teams have top 10 scoring offenses and defenses, and both have wins over Penn State. Ohio State’s win over Notre Dame in Week 1 ended up being the separating factor between the 2 teams.

Many questioned if Michigan would be ahead of Ohio State after the Buckeyes had a dismal offensive showing against Northwestern. The committee clearly feels that the Buckeyes have 1 more signature win than the Wolverines.

Michigan and Ohio State will play one another to end the regular season, with the loser perhaps missing out on the CFP in 2022.
