James Franklin updates Penn State’s plans for OL Drew Shelton, 2 LBs

James Franklin spoke about three players off the bat at Wednesday’s presser. OL Drew Shelton, LB Curtis Jacobs, and LB Tyler Elsdorn were all talked about.
Franklin reiterated that he would like to use Shelton’s redshirt at some point if possible. Shelton has stepped up on the offensive line this season with all the injuries piling up. This season is his true freshman year.
Shelton has played against Ohio, Minnesota, and Indiana so far.
It must be Wednesday night.

One of the more recent injuries on the offensive line was Landon Tengwall, who is out for the year with an undisclosed injury.
Someone asked Franklin if Jacobs and Elsdon will be able to play on Saturday. Franklin left reporters wondering and chose not to comment on that.

It looks like all will be revealed come game time on Saturday as Penn State faces Maryland. Kickoff from Beaver Stadium will be at 3:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
