Michigan State basketball is in San Diego for the Armed Forces Classic matchup with No. 2 Gonzaga. On Thursday, the Spartans had their first chance to take in the playing court for the game.
Set on the flight deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln, the game is another edition of a college hoops game set outdoors. As long as the weather cooperates, the setting for the court looks immaculate.

The Spartans also had a chance to get a tour of the aircraft carrier ahead of Friday’s matchup.

Michigan State’s matchup against Mark Few’s Gonzaga squad is set for a 6:30 pm ET tip-off on ESPN. Dan Shulman and Jay Bilas will be on the call for the Veteran’s Day showdown.
Friday’s game will also be the first of a brutal nonconference stretch for the Spartans. From tomorrow until Nov. 30, Michigan State will play a string of 4 straight games against ranked opponents.
Hopefully, the Spartans can vault into the top 25 after pulling off some upsets in November.
