‘Play together’: Illinois drops hype video for crucial B1G West game vs. Purdue

Illinois stumbled in Week 10 after a strong stretch of football. Across September and October, the Illini built a 6-game winning streak to establish themselves as the team to beat in the B1G West.
Unfortunately, that winning streak came to a crashing halt with an unforeseen and unexpected home upset at the hands of Michigan State. Though the Spartans have been struggling in 2022, Mel Tucker’s squad dialed up a strong effort in Champaign last weekend.
The good news is Illinois still holds onto a slim lead in the B1G West. The Illini also face one of their top competitors for the division this weekend in Purdue.
Illinois put out a hype video for the matchup on Thursday night, and it’s a good one:

At 7-2 overall and 4-2 in B1G play, the Illini will try to keep their lead with a bounce-back win over Purdue. We’ll see if Bret Bielema’s squad is ready on Saturday.
Kickoff is set for 12 pm ET on ESPN2.
