Pat Fitzgerald’s team failed to use the elements to their advantage against the Buckeyes. While the wind caused problems for the Ohio State offense, it wasn’t enough to get Northwestern to score more than seven points.
Minnesota and Northwestern did not play in 2020. However, the Golden Gophers are coming into the game with a two-win streak (2021 and 2019). Last season’s meeting ended with a 41-14 domination of Northwestern by Minnesota in Evanston.
The Wildcats are on an eight game losing streak, while Minnesota is 6-3 after a 20-13 comeback victory over Nebraska in Week 10.
Kickoff from Minneapolis will be at 3:30 p.m. ET on BTN.
