Mark Whipple was drilled and took a hard hit during Saturday’s game for Nebraska. Facing Michigan in Ann Arbor, Whipple was seen getting hit and leveled in his left knee as Wolverine receiver AJ Henning came flying out of bounds.

Whipple was seen down on the field for a good bit while getting attended to by the medical staff. According to reports, it appeared Whipple may have hit his head in addition to getting slammed into the knee.

Fortunately, it looks like Whipple is going to continue calling the game for Nebraska. The ABC broadcast crew noted he had been helped to his feet and had medical staff helping him stand on the sideline, but Whipple was determined to get the headset back and continue coaching.

We’ll see if Whipple’s able to remain on the sideline after halftime.
