New trophy game? Michigan claims first-ever Bussin’ Bowl trophy with win vs. Nebraska

The B1G is no stranger to elite trophy games in November. In Week 11, the conference added another new trophy matchup to the ledger.
That game is between Michigan and Nebraska with the Wolverines getting the win over the Huskers by a final score of 34-3. As a result, Michigan was awarded a new trophy.
That trophy is simply known as “The Bus” with the game officially dubbed “The Bussin’ Bowl.” The idea was invented by a pair of former players in Taylor Lewan (Michigan) and Will Compton (Nebraska).
Those two collectively host the Bussin With the Boys show and took the opportunity to create a new trophy game.

Lewan was a star offensive lineman for the Wolverines from 2009-12, becoming a 3-time All-B1G recipient and 2-time All-American. He was twice named the B1G’s Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2012 and 2013 before becoming a first-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Compton was a star linebacker for Nebraska from 2009-12. He produced 247 total tackles, including 110 for Nebraska during the 2012 season.
We’ll see if “The Bus” sticks as a trophy game moving forward.
