Jack Campbell, Iowa not focused on November winning streak entering Week 12

Jack Campbell knows about Iowa’s winning streak in November. However, that’s far from the focus for Iowa moving forward.
Once the calendar flipped forward from October, new life has been breathed into the Hawkeyes. Of course, not having to play Michigan and Ohio State helps, but Iowa is 2-0 this month after a 3-game losing streak in October. Iowa is also back into contention for the B1G West as a result.
However, Iowa’s performance in November stretches further back than this season. Going back to 2019, Iowa has now won 13 straight games played in the month of November. The last loss by the Hawkeyes in the month came on the road against Wisconsin in a 24-22 Heartland Trophy battle on Nov. 9, 2019.
How does that factor into this season’s team? According to Campbell, the team does not have any illusions that the Hawkeyes will never lose again in November, but he does believe the team will be just fine “if we just focus on us and look internally.”
Iowa MLB Jack Campbell: “We’re just going to continue to push through. Never give up. I’m not saying the Iowa Hawkeyes are never going to lose in November ever again (13 in a row), but if we just focus on us and look internally, we have a great shot of continuing the success.”

After the win over Wisconsin, Iowa has 2 more games this month to try and battle back to a repeat title in the B1G West. The first step is a Week 12 road trip vs. Minnesota.
