Ryan Day provides update on banged-up running back situation

Ohio State looked just fine against Indiana without the services of star running back TreVeyon Henderson. The Buckeyes won, 56-14 while rushing for an absurd 340 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Most of that work was done by Miyan Williams, who accounted for 147 yards and 1 touchdown, averaging almost 10 yards per rush. That’s fine and dandy against Indiana, but that could be a problem against Maryland and more importantly Michigan in a few weeks.
Ohio State head coach Ryan Day provided a hopeful update on Henderson Monday, as well as the status of the running back room in general.
Ryan Day on Buckeye Roundtable on running back injuries: “We want to get as healthy a room as we possibly can. I think we can do that here in pretty short order … If we’re going to reach our goals, we’re certainly going to need a running back room that’s at full capacity.”

The Buckeyes are set to take on Maryland at 3:30 in College Park this Saturday before hosting Michigan next week in the Game of the Year for the B1G.
