Jaxon Smolik is a key quarterback recruit committed to Penn State via the 2023 recruiting class. Now, he’s trying to pitch the Nittany Lions to a key cornerback prospect that recently became available.

On Tuesday, Smolik shared an image of the announcement from Daniel Harris. Previously committed to the University of Georgia, Harris announced a decision to reopen his recruitment on Monday.

In his post, Smolik urged Harris to “Come home” and said “We’re building something BIG here.”

According to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, Harris is a 4-star CB and the No. 18 CB nationally for the class of 2023. Harris also checks in as the No. 154 overall prospect regardless of position.

Harris had no shortage of offers and committed to the Bulldogs in July after a summer of official visits that included stops at Georgia and Penn State. Now, we’ll see if James Franklin’s program can make a push for the key prospect.
