Illinois is coming off a disappointing 2 straight home losses after starting the season 7-1 and 4-1 in B1G play. However, the offensive line is still seen as one of the best in the nation. The group has been named as a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award.
The Illini offensive line is headlined by guys such as Julian Pearl and Isaiah Adams. Their play has had a key role in producing the top rusher in the country in Chase Brown.
Pearl attributes the success to the group coming together through bonding outside of the football field. One of those activities is dinner at Billy Barooz, a pub in Champaign. The other? Call of Duty, which Pearl implies that he is the best.
No matter how simple it sounds, the group bonding that they have done has certainly translated to success.
#illini OL Julian Pearl was asked about the key for the line coming together this season. Illinois was a semifinalist on the Joe Moore Award Monday.
Billy Barooz for dinner and Call of Duty. The best at CoD?
