Mady Sissoko came up big-time on Tuesday night. Michigan State basketball just might have found what the Spartans have been missing with confidence on the floor and of course, an upset.
On Tuesday night, MSU took on No. 4 Kentucky for the annual Champions Classic in Indianapolis securing the win, 86-77 in double overtime. One of the big stars of the night received front-page recognition.
Sissoko was one of the key players in Tuesday’s win and earned himself front-page honors in the Detroit Free Press. Sissoko had a huge night with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 assists for the Spartans. Those numbers are even more impressive considering he faced star big man Oscar Tshiebwe for much of the evening.
The game that would never end, finally did, and in favor of the Spartans, no less. From Wednesday's @freepsports (the second edition, at least) with full coverage from @chrissolari. (Plus, the Wolverines are still at No. 3 in football, no worries.) pic.twitter.com/cHO86HBZhB

Just last weekend, the Spartans lost to No. 2 Gonzaga by one point, 64-63. If anything this game has helped seal the momentum and confidence of the Spartans squad.
With confidence at an all-time high, the Spartans will continue in their slate of nonconference games.
The next game for the Spartans will be when they host Villanova on Friday, Nov. 18 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
