Ohio State and Michigan are set for the game among games next week in Columbus. With “The Game” likely deciding the winner of the B1G, Fox Sports’ RJ Young isn’t ready to move 1 program ahead of the other.
In Young’s latest CFB tier list entering Week 12, both the Buckeyes and Wolverines land in the 2nd tier, along with TCU. Georgia, which currently is 1 of 4 undefeated teams left among Power 5 programs, was the only team listed in Tier 1.
Michigan is far from a complete roster. The same could be said for Ohio State. For most of the season, the Wolverines have relied on their 1-2 combination of running backs Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards as the driving offense. For the Buckeyes, they are pass-heavy dependent behind the arm of Heisman-caliber quarterback CJ Stroud.

Both programs still have a shot to enter next week undefeated. The Wolverines will play host to potential B1G West winner Illinois, while the Buckeyes travel to College Park to take on Maryland. The winner of “The Game” will represent the B1G East in the conference championship game at Lucas Oil Stadium on Dec. 3.
Young listed 6 teams as potential contenders for the CFP. USC and Tennessee, both of which have 1 loss, come in on Tier 3. Both are viewed as the front-runners to take over as No. 4 following a loss by either Ohio State or Michigan.
