The freshman receiver has been the top target in Michigan’s passing attack, catching 11 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown. He leads the team in all three categories.
Behind Black, Grant Perry and Kekoa Crawford have been solid options, combining for 15 receptions for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns. But the Wolverines are going to need someone else to step up in Black’s absence.
While the length of time Black could miss was not specific, it’s assumed that the surgery will keep him sidelined for quite some time.
