NFL coordinator arrested for DUI hours after Thursday Night Football game

The Tennessee Titans picked up a 27-17 win on the road against the Green Bay Packers Thursday night. Hours later, the Titans’ offensive coordinator was arrested for DUI back in Tennessee.
Williamson County (Tennessee) records show that Todd Downing was booked for driving under the influence and speeding at 4:39 a.m. Just over 2 hours later, Downing posted bond and was released.

Downing, a Minnesota alum, is 42. He has worked in the NFL since 2001. Downing was an intern and analyst with the Minnesota Vikings from 2001-to-2004 before joining the coaching staff as an offensive quality control assistant in 2005.
Since 2019, Downing has been on staff with the Titans. He was the team’s tight ends coach for 2019-20 before being promoted to offensive coordinator in 2021.
The Titans next play on Nov. 27 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
