Purdue’s players enjoyed the freezing weather ahead of Saturday’s home game against Northwestern.
With snow on the field in West Lafayette, the Purdue players hyped themselves up in the end zone without wearing any shirts. It was 26 degrees Fahrenheit and some of the players wore limited clothing prior to the pregame warmups.

The players jumped up and down in the end zone and were preparing for an important game in the cold weather. The shirtless players were excited to get started for Purdue’s 2nd-to-last game of the regular season.
Despite the unusual game preparation, Purdue will be looking to win for the 6th time in the last 8 games. Purdue began the season with a 1-2 record and they were able to get on the right track over the last 2 months. With a 6-4 record, Purdue already clinched bowl eligibility. The Boilermakers will be taking on a 1-9 Northwestern team.
For Northwestern, this season has not been as fortunate for Pat Fitzgerald’s squad. Since the Week 0 win over Nebraska in Ireland, Northwestern has not won a game in the United States. Purdue will try to extend Northwestern’s losing streak in the United States. This will be Purdue’s final home game of the season.
Purdue will host Northwestern at 12 p.m. ET.
