Spartan Stadium will have certain parts of the stadium closed off to fans due to the lack of water from the frigid temperatures in East Lansing, Michigan.
The east upper deck of the stadium is closed off and fans in that part of the stadium will be relocated. At 24 degrees Fahrenheit, the weather will be extremely cold for the fans to sit through for 4 hours. The lack of water will force fans to be moved in order to stay at the stadium for Saturday’s game.
Due to a lack of water, the east upper deck of Spartan Stadium is closed today and fans have been relocated. Going to be interesting to see how many show up today in bitter conditions.

It is unclear if other parts of the stadium are experiencing water shortages. This problem could impact the overall attendance for Saturday’s game. Spartan Stadium’s capacity is just over 75,000. If the crowd is lighter than normal due to the cold weather, the impacted fans from the east upper deck could enjoy a game with less Michigan State fans.
Michigan State will need as much support as possible from the home fans to become bowl eligible in Week 12. Michigan State sits at 5-5 on the season with back-to-back wins over Illinois and Rutgers. Indiana holds a 3-7 record and is looking to finish the losing season with a sense of pride.
Michigan State and Indiana will play at 12 p.m. ET.
