Blake Corum injury: Fans, media weigh in on blow to Michigan’s star RB

Michigan fans everywhere are holding their breath.

Star Wolverines running back Blake Corum appeared to injure his knee and fumbled on a rush to the outside against Illinois Saturday afternoon. The Illini recovered and trail 7-3 at halftime when it looked as if the Wolverines were getting ready to score.

Fans and media who learned and saw Corum’s injury reacted to the play Saturday afternoon. As of now, no update has been given on Corum’s status for the rest of this game or the Wolverines moving forward.

Michigan star RB Blake Corum – a potential Heisman Trophy candidate – was down after a carry and grabbed his left knee.

He’s heading directly into the locker room for further evaluation, but he is walking under his own power.

Blake Corum is down for Michigan, and it doesn’t look good. He was holding his left knee. He got up after a couple minutes and walked very gingerly to the locker room.

Hopefully Heisman contender Blake Corum is going to be ok. Michigan doesn’t have Donovan Edwards today. The 2 RBs are the heart of the Wolverine’s offense. They only lead 7-3 vs Illinois late in the 2nd qtr.
