Lance Leipold has picked up another extension.
The Kansas head coach was extended in September through 2027. Now, his new deal will take him through the 2029 season.
Lance Leipold was extended Sept. 1 through the 2027 season, before leading Kansas to bowl-eligibility for the first time since 2008. This deal adds two years and marks the second time Leipold has been extended since taking over the Jayhawks in April 2021. ESPN first on the deal.

Leipold has engineered an impressive turnaround at Kansas, securing a bowl bid for the Jayhawks. The Leipold news comes as the coaching carousel looks to pick up with the end of the 2022 regular season.
Did Leipold pick Kansas over an offer that could have come in days from Nebraska? Or did he believe that Nebraska was moving in another direction? Based on what I’m hearing, it’s the latter. https://t.co/dZeaAUw78e
