An NFL assistant was fired coming out of the weekend following his team’s trip to Mexico City. According to a Wednesday report, that assistant coach was fired for allegedly groping a woman in Mexico.

On Tuesday, the Arizona Cardinals fired offensive line coach and running game coordinator Sean Kugler. No reasoning was given at the time of Kugler’s removal.

On Wednesday, ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss reported that Kugler was fired for groping a woman in Mexico City. According to Weinfuss’ report, the incident occurred on Sunday night. Kugler was sent back to Arizona on a Monday morning flight with the team facing the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football.

Mexican authorities were notified of the incident, which happened Sunday night, and then informed the Cardinals, who terminated Kugler and sent him back to Arizona on a flight Monday morning. The Cardinals had arrived in Mexico City on Saturday.

According to Weinfuss, Kugler is the second member of Arizona’s staff to be accused of an assault this year.
