Charges officially filed in tunnel incident stemming from Michigan-Michigan State game

Charges have been officially filed for the incident stemming from the Michigan Stadium tunnel after the conclusion of the Michigan-Michigan State game in October. As a result of the investigation, 7 players — all Spartan student-athletes — have been charged.
One player — Khary Crump — is being charged with felonious assault. Jacoby Windmon is being charged with assault and battery.
“Following the altercation between members of the Michigan and Michigan State football teams on October 29, the University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Secruity conducted a thorough investigation into potential criminal liability,” Wednesday’s statement reads. “UMDPSS was assisted in its investigation by the Michigan State University Police Department and the Michigan State Police. We are grateful to our law-enforcement partners for their exhaustive investigation.
“At the conclusion of that investigation, UMDPSS submitted to the Prosecutor’s Office a request for criminal charges against several individuals — all student-athletes on the Michgian State football team.”

These are the 7 Spartan players to receive formal charges:
- Khary Crump
- Itayvion Brown
- Angelo Grose
- Justin White
- Brandon Wright
- Zion Young
- Jacob Windmon
As included in the press release, all charges are currently allegations, and those charged will remain innocent until proven guilty.
