A win this Saturday won’t get Rutgers to bowl eligibility, but it would go a long way to soothe the aches and pains that have come along with this year’s season.

The 4-7 Scarlet Knights will face the 6-5 Terrapins this Saturday in a B1G head-to-head matchup.

The Terrapins have had their own ups and downs this season, dominating teams like Charlotte in a 56-21 victory, while also falling to Wisconsin 23-10. Bowl eligibility came late in the season for Maryland as it took home a close win over a struggling Northwestern team in Week 8.

According to ESPN’s FPI, there’s a good chance the Terrapins will end the season on a high note. The index is used to predict how teams will do in a head-to-head matchup. ESPN’s Football Power Index gives the Terrapins an 88.2% chance of taking home the win on Saturday.

Rutgers has slim chance of beating the Terps as the FPI gives them a 11.8% chance. A win would give Rutgers HC Greg Schiano his fifth of the season.

Can Rutgers beat the odds and pull off a win, or will the Terrapins take a win to close out the regular season? We’ll find out as the Scarlet Knights and Terps battle it out Saturday at Noon ET on BTN.
