Mark Dantonio on fixing Michigan State: We’re not broken

You can try and tell Mark Dantonio that his team is broken, but he’s probably not going to listen.
After a 38-18 homes loss to Notre Dame, the Michigan State head coach addressed a lot of issues about his team. He knows penalties, turnovers and inconsistent play was costly against the Irish. But when asked about the “fixability” of the Spartans, Dantonio dismissed the question.
“We’re not broken,” he said. “I think our football team can win a lot of football games.”

Michigan State is coming off a 3-9 season a headline filled offseason, which led to the dismissal of multiple players. Some even believe that Dantonio’s job could be on the line of the Spartans don’t show significant improvement in 2017.
None of that is bothering Dantonio, though. At least not at the moment.
The Spartans are now 2-1 on the season and open B1G play next Saturday vs. Iowa.
