As the coaching carousel around college football continues, program like Auburn and Nebraska are introducing their new head coaches to lead them back to the promised land. Among that list is Wisconsin, who introduced now former Cincinnati head coach Luke Fickell Sunday afternoon. Fickell was responsible for leading the Bearcats to the College Football Playoff, the first time a G5 team has done so.

Fickell has been entertained by Power-5 offers in the past, but he has now found a home in Madison.

He now looks to rebuild the program back to the top of the B1G, and he gave a textbook response in his introductory presser.

As the only Group of 5 head coach to reach the playoff, there is certainly a lot expected out of him. However, his accomplishments show that he is up for the task and knows what it takes.

“It’s gotta happen from within, there’s no other way that I know of doing it,” Fickell said. “I’m excited about this opportunity as I  hope you all envision and can see. I’m not one to stand up here and make bold statements by any means. I can promise you this — I’m gonna get these guys to believe in what we do.”
