Kirk Herbstreit named his top performing teams from Week 13, naming 8 programs around the country. Take a wild guess who was on top?
Of course, it was Michigan from their 45-23 decimation of Ohio State Saturday. The Wolverines were dominant in the 2nd half and played their way into a College Football Playoff spot, likely regardless of their performance in the B1G Championship game against Purdue.
The 7 other teams included on Herbstreit’s list are South Carolina, Florida State, NC State, Tulane, Arizona, Oregon State and Tennessee.

The Wolverines could still nab the No. 1 spot in the College Football Playoff rankings with a loss from Georgia. Michigan is No. 2 right now and will likely be No. 4 if it was to lose to the upset-minded Boilermakers.
That’s a pretty big “if.”
