The finalists for the Doak Walker Award were announced on Tuesday. 2 B1G running backs were included.
The usual B1G suspects were on the ballot, without one other star RB from the conference. The finalists were Chase Brown, Blake Corum, and Bijan Robinson. However, there was no sign of Mohamed Ibrahim.
Both Ibrahim and Corum have the same number of total touchdowns with 19 this season. Ibrahim (153.7) is also averaging more yards per game than both Corum (121.9) and Brown (136.9) as well.

Minnesota fans already know how special Ibrahim is to the team. The Golden Gophers have struggled in the past when Ibrahim has missed time due to injury.
It’s unfortunate that a player with Ibrahim’s strengths is not included in the conversation for the award. It looks like the B1G has a decent shot at taking home the Doak Walker Award for the second year in a row. Michigan State’s Kenneth Walker III won it last season.
