It could be a tough offseason in Bloomington. The Indiana Hoosiers finished 4-8 (2-7 B1G) and have questions at the quarterback position.

QB Dexter Williams II, who started Indiana’s final two games, suffered a significant knee injury with structural damage against Purdue. Williams completed 1 pass for 5 yards while rushing for 9 yards on 4 attempts before leaving with the injury.

Overall, he threw for 184 yards and 2 touchdowns to 2 interceptions while rushing for 165 yards on 40 attempts and 1 touchdown this season.

On Wednesday, Indiana announced that Williams’ injury was a knee dislocation with significant structural damage. Williams will have surgery on the knee next week.

To make matters worse, quarterbacks Jack Tuttle and Connor Bazelak are both transferring. Bazelak threw for 2,312 yards and 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions before being replaced by Williams. Tuttle registered 82 yards and 1 touchdown in his lone statistical outing against Penn State.

For now, Williams will be re-evaluated heading into the offseason. Let’s hope the time off can get him healed and ready for the 2023 season. If not, Indiana could have a problem on their hands at quarterback.
