Jaden Akins was listed as doubtful for the Michigan State game by coach Tom Izzo. However, The Detroit News’ Matt Charboneau reported that the Michigan State guard looked fine during warmups.
Akins has been dealing with a foot injury that he suffered this offseason. The last game that Akins played for Michigan State was against Villanova on Nov. 18. Akins is averaging 6.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1 assist per game.
Michigan State fans will have to wait until tip off to see if Izzo is planning on holding Akins out until the team’s next game. The Spartans will be playing Northwestern on Dec. 4 following the Notre Dame game.
