B1G Commissioner Kevin Warren sets timetable to address keeping divisions

It’s been no secret that the B1G has pondered the idea of getting rid of divisions, much like the Big 12 and PAC-12. B1G commissioner Kevin Warren was quoted Thursday saying that the conference will be meeting to discuss the matter in the Spring.
This comes just minutes after the College Football Playoff made the decision official to expand the Playoff field to 12 teams starting in 2024.
B1G commissioner Kevin Warren told me today that the league will address divisions and whether or not to keep them at its spring meetings.

Eliminating divisions seems like the right move at this point. It’s clear that Ohio State and Michigan are the 2 best teams in the B1G, yet only 1 gets to vow for the B1G Title at the end of the year in the championship game. The East has become so strong that it seems like a foregone conclusion that the winner of The Game will get the spoils.
A team from the West has not won the title since Wisconsin did it in 2012. A team not named Ohio State or Michigan has not won it since 2016.
