Payne Durham and Purdue are pulling out all the stops in Indianapolis. With nothing to lose against Michigan, the Boilermakers are trying to land their first-ever B1G Championship Game win.

Facing a fourth down play in the first quarter, head coach Jeff Brohm decided to roll the dice. He dialed up a fake punt with the snap going to star tight end Payne Durham as opposed to the punter.

Durham’s running lane was initially clear but closed up quickly. The Wolverines nearly brought him down in time but Durham was given the line to gain by a hair on the run.

Unfortunately for Purdue, that drive would eventually stall out in the red zone with the Boilermakers unable to find the end zone. Purdue would kick a field goal and took its first lead of the game at 10-7 early in the second quarter with a lot of football left to play.
